2015 Adam Smith Prize presented to former Commissioner Janez Potočnik
Green Budget Germany – our parent organisation in Berlin, also known as Förderverein Okologische Steuerreform (FÖS) – announces the winner of the 2015 Adam Smith Prize for Environmental Economic Policy.
This year’s award goes to former Commissioner Janez Potočnik, whose work throughout his mandate (2010-14) has best represented the vision of many green liberals in Europe.
Criteria for the award are scientific, political or journalistic contributions to the development and implementation of market-based instruments (MBIs).
Read the abridged version of the address that Dr. Anselm Görres, Chairman of Green Budget Germany, prepared for the ceremony in Berlin.
